This website used to be ranked 6/10. For some reasons, after our revamp, and unfortunately forced to change the permalinks section of this blog, we lost our website ranking dramatically. Current Report on Internet Marketing:

We have mentioned many times how staying focused on what you do is important. Many internet marketers like to read alot and alot. It is ok and a good habit to read alot. But many people stop doing, and expect to reach a state where they know everything before they get started. This is never going to happen because new ideas and tools are devised and improved and invented by internet marketers in the same community. You can never catch up with them. So if you don’t get started and do as you learn, you will never go anywhere.

This brings up the idea of being and staying focused. You need to think about your niche, and plan out what models and tools work best for your internet marketing. By Model and Tool I mean Models like: review site, coupon site, a blog, website, using affiliate program networks etc. Tools i mean, using adsense? Ebay BANS? Popshops? etc. Widgets like Chitika, PayPerPost? etc etc etc?

So many, what works best for you and takes up the least of your time? You need to think about that and strike a balance. So many affiliate network out there, and PPC networks out there, what are you going to do about it?

This point we are trying to make is very important.

What Worked Well For us?

We have tried various Models and Tools. What worked best for us have already been formulated long before we start this blog. Now I will like to share this with you guys. I hope these data serve as motivation to many of you.

1. Shareasale Affiliate Network:

• We have only promoted 4 products and it has been generating us massive income monthly. Below is a screen shot of my income for April 2009 only:

• I must admit, there is really so many product under this network that it can be kinda overwhelming, but remember, be focused!
• We pulled in about 30% of our income from this network.

3. Adsense Revenue:

• At the beginning stage of using adsense. This tool only serve as a supplemental income to you. Because you need quality and authoratative content to work. As you built your content and receive more and more traffic, you will realize your adsense income will soon become a pseudo-main stream of internet income!

These on average pulled in about 900 to 1K USD per month. I am currently working to boost more traffic and further optimizing our income here. As you can see. The income from these protals are heavily dwarfed by sas, cj and adsense. Why? Too Many stuff and overwhelming is the problem. So I am going to tease them apart and work on each one of them one at a time.

So all these data that you see are all the earning for one month…13k per month is an attractive income, yet its not something that can happen in a day or so. But if you stay focused and have the right skills and knowledge, it can happen realtively quickly compared to offline business as commitment and capital for investment can be a big issue.

To date, I have a total of 68 website. Generating $7000/month. This is not alot compared to many successful marketers out there, but kinda nice and neat amount to cash in every month.

I now come to realize that sole of internet business all start from internet marketing. It is after getting in internet marketing that I start looking out and reading up on internet business opportunities other than internet marketing.

I guess you are just somehow forced to read and read.

Now I have 2 projects under my hand. Total budget of 10K to get it started and kicking.

1. A content Management College Note Site:

This is basically something like Facebook. But instead of focusing on Socializing, it focuses more on exchanging notes within the same college network.

2. A coupon Directory.

Well this shouldnt be something new. But the fact that so many people are shopping online and taking advantage of coupon have led me to be determined to share a pie of the coupon income.
We’ll see how it goes.

It seemed to me that I am transisting to becoming the big dogs and going to hire some salesman soon, instead of being one myself.

You cannot beat the big guys in broadness & function, but you can bead them by focusing on specific niche.

3. Apply for Affiliate Programs, Widgets & Ads Programs
Sign up for affiliates from independent affiliate programs such as: Ebay, Shopping.com, amazon.com etc (search associateprograms.com for a huge list) “OR” from Affiliate Networks such as: Commission Junction, Linkshare, Shareasale, Shareresults, Performics, PepperjamNetwork, Zanox, Affiliatefuture, MoreNiche, WorldNiche, leadingedgecash, markethealth, Mr Bagg, paydotcom, ClickBank and etc. You can place ads on your site by signing up for Ads Newtorks that pay you for advertisements click on your site: Adbrite, Adster, Adsense, YPN, AdCenter, Bidvertisers, etc are all good networks. Lastly, Joined and Look out for cool money making widgets such as , chitika, Widgetbucks, Scratchback, etc

4. Maximize and Test Your Niche
Next, after selecting your niche. Think of the ways you can “maximize” your profit. How you monetize your site/blog really depends on what your niche is. Some things to bear in mind. You can generally earn money via the below 3 catgories: Affiliate marketing/Internet marketing, Advertisments clicks on your site, and lastly, widgets that are embedded affiliate links or shopping products. There are tonnes of companies that provide these opportunities. Some require you have some quality web content, so try to develop your website first before signing up for affiliate programs and etc. Otherwiese you will just end up getting rejected.
Once you have signed up for as many as possible. Test and try to see which converts the best for you. Meaning, which combination of Money Making Tools mentioned above make you the most money. I will take a month or 2 to find out. So be Patient
